    ww2 Australian Aircorps badge ? AAC

    Hi all,

    I just got this badge. I did some research and my best clue is Australian Aircorps. However Iam not sure if thats correct.
    Anybody can confirm my thougths ? Or is it something totaly different ?

      Army Air Corps, Part of the British Army. King's crown so it is pre-1953.

          Jens, not much value as it should be in whitemetal. It seems your example has been treated to give it a bronze appearance. Bronze examples do exist, but they are of a slightly different pattern.

          Here's my example. It still looks a bit yellowish but that's due to the flash.

              Hi Luc,

              thanks for your info and the additional pics. The look of my badge may be an result of the years it spent in the ground.
              Actually its a ground find that was dig out south of Berlin, near Halbe were the last big encirclement took place. Tens of thousands of German soldiers from all kind of units were killed there. So this british badge was obviously a souvenir from earlier war days.
