The red and blue arm of service strip is for the Royal Regiment of Artillery.

145th (Berkshire Yeomanry) Field Regiment RA (TA) formed in 1939 and suspended in 1946, reformed in 1947 as 345th Medium Regiment RA (Berkshire Yeomanry) (TA). At first BY collars and RA cap badges were worn, this later changed to all BY badges. The post war regiment continued to wear BY badges with BY buttons and later the cloth designation of BERKSHIRE YEOMANRY in red on Navy blue.
