As Ade has already said its the correct cap badge, This badge was adopted around the mid 1920s and is still in service today (with Queens Crown) Before this the hunting Horn Badge was used, Officers Cap badges are Silver.
This badge style was also worn by all Ranks on Best BD and Service Dress in the form of Collar Dogs. Again Brass for OR and Silver for Officers.

Hope this is of some help, I am on the look out for a pair of Sherwood Rangers Cloth Titles and also The SRY NCO arm Badge. Also Printed 8th Ind Arm Brig Formation Signs, I have some Spare SRY insignia open for trade.
