    Any thought, opinions? the yellow one has me stumped..both came from vet buy

    The clue to the Red Ensign is in the what ever it is in the light blue portion of the shield.

      If the Red Ensign has three green maple leaves in the bottom portion of the shield (which I suspect it does) then it is a Canadian Red Ensign and used from 1922 - 1957. In 1957 the leaves were changed to red and the female harp lost some of her appeal in the chest area. This flag then ceased to be used when the current red/white Canadian flag was adopted in 1965.
