Polish Air Force miniature badge in silver?

“as a token of appreciation of the unit and himself, he wanted us to accept the badge of the Polish Air Force. He then handed each of us, officers and erks alike, a miniature badge most exclusively made in silver. ….(he) had a boy on the unit, an expert jeweller and silversmith, make these badges to give us.” (Thomas 1943)

This is citation from: Thomas, LB (1943), What is like with the Poles?, Royal Air Force Journal, November 1944, page 390-391.<O</O

My question is; do you know such silver badges? Are they in the collections somewhere?

PS I assume that statement “Information given in the Royal Air Force Journal is not to be communicate, either directly or indirectly, to the press or any person not holding an official position in His Majesty’s Service” can be ignored.

Do You mean miniature pilot's badges? Or a small badge representing the red and white checkerboard design? I've got miniature pilot's badges in silver....

Well, good question, it wasn't clearly stated, but the article was illustrated by Polish Eagle with hussar wings, used by Polish Airforce.

Here is home made eagle (full size, not miniature), I bought it in the UK, in autique shop in town where was ww2 airfield:

          Possibly

You might find that this was cast from a silver contemporary coin (British).

.. This was pretty much standard practice by Poles from all units serving under Western Allied command ..

(Known as a "workshop" cast piece.)

No this one above - I am not sure what metal it is.

I think that silver miniatures mentioned in the book are based on the Polish airman cap badge, but it is just my assumption as the airman badge was used to illustrate text.
