HELP Ribbons

Hello

Since you guys are very familiar and know many about the Brittish uniforms etc you guys do recognize these ribbons? These aren't Brittish (I don't know, don't know many about UK) more from the volunteers.

Do you recognize one or all?

Hi,

They are Belgian. From left to right, Volunteers Medal 1940-45, Commemorative medal 1940-45 and the last one is I think the Resistence Medal 1940-45. Can you post a photo of the whole Battledress jacket please?

Do you speak dutch?

In english: Do you also know what that ropething means? Check the first photo of my Tommy with that Pilot thing (Sorry I really shame that I don't know the exact names of these dresses) you'll it on the left arm

The "rope thing" is called a lanyard. It is not worn like that. The thick part goes under the arm. See the pic, not great, but all I have to hand to show. Lanyards are a big subject. Not a lot of info is really know about them all. They can be worn on either arm. Different units wore them on different arms.

In your thread you also asked about the "egg thing", we call it an egg cup in England.
