An unusual small sized AM marked Compass. It is slightly larger than the "standard" wartime Escape Compass and lighter in construction. The top section is black and the lower section is white. It also has a slight taper-shoulder and may have been made to fit into something. The AM marking is seperated by a King's Crown so it will be pre-1953, assuming it is genuine that is. Having not seen this pattern previously I wonder if any other Forum members may have done so or know anything about it? All the best, Clive.

Air Ministry Marked Escape Compass?

Although no one commented on the Air Ministry Compass I thought I would add another variation recently picked up. Most collectors are aware of at least five variations of the WW2 Escape Compass, add to this the AM one I posted and now this odd pattern. I have no idea if it was made during or after the war, even possibly pre-war? Any thoughts or opinions are welcome. Clive.Attached Files
