Tricky helmets these para lids . Luckilly there are a few experts here who can tell you wether the paint and configuration are correct for WW2 ,as Mons says I should imagine it was used post war judging by the magic marker and the white training sticker on the front ,still a nice piece and getting velly plicey.Rob

If you look at the inside of the shell the paint their is wartime, anything darker than this would have had a second coat applied.

Nice looking helmet but, I suspect repainted for post war use. Doesn't really matter though and will display very well. congratulations.
