    F-S Ebony Handled Knife Help

Any information on this knife appreciated. A quick google search shows a similar knife apparently in Flook plate 159. This knife has a 3mm guard and is impressed "William Rodgers Sheffield" on the guard. It is not marked "England". There also appears to be a second indistinct stamp on the guard, possibly a letter K in a shield. The scabbard tabs show evidence of having been stitched onto something. The knife itself appears to be a 3rd pattern. There is a fair amount of corrosion on the blade and scabbard rivets, from exposure to moisture. Is this a post-war knife? Fantasy piece? Wartime private issue?

When I owned that knife I thought it had been used by a diver.

Wooden, grips plastic grips are postwar. Produced by the war time contractors who had in their possession a surplus of blades upon termination of their contract.

Some people believe they are aircrew knives. I`m not happy with the evidence.
