Ive got one like this. It seams it was pretty common to stuff little boxes or webbing with insignia and then bring it home. The boxes served well to hide booty from the Military Police........you wouldnt believe what got thrown into the channel!

Any idea as to the surname of the guy who this tin belonged?

Funny , picked it up in Dorset this morning

You cannot beat Dorset for military bargains, I love those hard to reach counties in that area of the country that arent heavily trawled like my home county of Lincolnshire.

Stalag XI A was a POW camp in Altengrabow, Germany, for EM/Nco's in operation from 1939 to some time in 1945 but not quite sure when it was liberated.
