RAF Officer's Visor - Question

Is there a way to determine the difference between the WW2 era King's crown hat insignia and the post war Queen's crown hat insignia other than the shape of the crowns?

Are there any other distinguishing features?

I'm trying to determine whether or not I have a WW2 example. The shape of the crown on my RAF visor could go either way..

Any help would be greatly appreciated ..

Can you post photos? The badge, as well as the interior/full exterior would help in determining a period for the cap, and the badge.

Please forgive the quality of my photography.. The color is way off because I had to use a flash. The hat is far darker blue.

There are threads representing jewels at the base of the crown, red, green, blue, green, red..

There was a rectangular label in the top at one time.. Pretty salty hat ..

This is a pre-1953 Kings Crown.

Easy way to tell is if the shape of the crown at the top is a heart shape,
its queens crown, and if the shape of the crown at the top is an arc like this one, its kings crown
