where can I find the correct screw to fit my British MKII helmet?

I have a WWII British MKII tommy helmet that has the wrong screw holding the liner

where can I find the correct screw & nut to put in my helmet?

will a US M1917A1 screw and nut fit a British helmet? is the hole and length of the screw long enough?
