Great score! Very nice. All you need now is the communications gear.

I don't know anything about Tank crew helmets but this looks very nice! Canadian manufacture to boot.

Very nice and hard to find!

But if that head is made of styrofoam please do not keep it on there for long as it does harm to the leather. I can see you care about your collection due to the gloves.

          Cheers, Ade.

I honestly got it for $500 CDN, might be too much form some collectors but compare to this one : http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Other...s/C015356.html

I think I did a good job cause mine is complete, notin' missing even the two

black buttons are still intact! It got two beautifully stamped C-Broad-arrow(s),

and maker' s mark, at least u know it made in Toronto.

I don' t think I will see another example like mine or better, so I better just

take it rather than see it get fooled around or destroyed.

Ade is right to warn you about styrofoam - I forget what it is about the stuff but it's not good for displaying these old helmets on. You could try finding a glass head form perhaps, glass is inert so it doesn't emit any nasties.

Anyway, nice find - I always think it better to spend a bit more and buy a really nice example of something.

Great pickup... you'll never regret buying quality... in the years to come the pain of what you had to pay today will be forgotten and you'll never have to worry about upgrading...

                    Exactly!

Sure it's nice to own something with that "been there" look about it but as with most genres of antiques/collectables - it pays to get the best condition you can afford.
