Hi Thomas, you are allowed to post pictures here, but as you are not an association member, you cannot upload any direct from your PC.

But you are welcome to show then via a photo hosting website, such as Imageshack etc etc.

      Cheers, Ade.

The top wing appears to be a 2nd Glider Pilot's brevet made for mess dress. It appears to be much larger than normal. As the 2nd GP brevet was a fairly late addition to the Army Aviator's brevet, I would say that this wing is also post World War II manufacture. The feathering makes me think it was made in India or Pakistan, though I am not saying it is of modern (ie last week) Pakistani manufacture.

The bottom wing is a Navigator's brevet and is post World War II manufacture. They seem to sell here in the states for around $10 each. Wartime examples bring a much higher price.

            Thanks Allan,

The Wing and the half wing comes from two different pictures, so the measurements are not comparable.
The real meassures on the glider wing should be 11.2 cm over all.

Do you mean that the Pakistan made wing are fake, or just post war manufactured?

Thomas, I don't think your top wing is even military. I suspect it is a post-war civil aviation badge given for some kind of glider qualification. It is definitely not a 2nd Glider Pilot wing in bullion - style, shape, colour, contruction, size etc all wrong.

              Thanks, from Jack.
