    RAF Tunic

Here's a few pics of a Leading Aircraftman Tunic dated 1945.
Am I right in thinking the inverted chevron on the bottom of the left sleeve is a wound stripe?

I'd be interested to know current market value for it?

The inverted chevron is a Good Conduct Chevron. One is awarded for two years good conduct.

Rob, it did come from England but I bought it about 20 years ago from an ex-RAF WWII veteran named Michael Young, who was a dealer in RAF collectables. He used to sell great items like DFC medal groups, Flying log books, flying helmets and other uniform items all at reasonable prices. Unfortunately at the time I was too young to have the money to purchase any of the good stuff. This tunic took a few weeks pocket money I remember!

I beleive the more popular way to say this was

"One is awarded for two years of undetected crime."
