    Canadian Parachute Corps

I found these cap badges at a flea market this morning.
    Each is brass.
I would like to know how old they are and the value.
    Thanks!

      Hello,

They are both wartime badges. The brass Battalion badge was produced late in 1944 (December) and used in Canada at the A-35 Parachute Training Centre in Shilo, MB first. These badges made their way overseas in the spring of 1945 (April or May) and were issued to the Battalion likely in May of 1945 after they returned from Germany. The brass badge was used for a number of years post-war as well.

      Hope this helps.

      Gary

..as Gary says - nice pair of original WW2 brass CPC badges..the one on the viewers right by the way appears to have had the lugs replaced or re-soldered hence the discolouration..
