    RAF wings real?

          Hi Marc,

          Those are sweetheart wings, but a nice example of the type! British Mess Dress wings are small and made of bullion, they usually measure about two and a half to two and three eigths inches wide. The last time the British had a metal wing was back in the days of the RFC, that wing was discontinued around 1913.

          This is the Mess Dress uniform of Group Captain Breen for an example.
