    Help reuniting a lost medal

I need everyones help in locating a lost medal. This medal Belonged to my great grandfather who fought in WWI, I have his WWI Victory medal, but his War medal has disappeared, and no-one in the family knows what happened to it.

This medal is the War Medal, 1914-1918. This medal should be missing its ribbon since I have the ribbon. On the Rim it is Stamped PTE A. MCKECHNIE A-serial number, 58th CAN INF.

    I sincerely appreciate everyones help.

Hi There , Often With Great War Medal Groups The War Medal Is Missing , I Belive This Was Due To The High Silver Content ? Twice Since The End Of The Great War Silver Prices Rocketed ( 1930`s And 1970`s ??) So When You Think That The Value Of An `old Medal` In A Tin Could Bring The Former Soldier A Weeks Wage To Feed His Family Its Not Surprising Many Were Weighed In , Regards ,michael.
If Any Of You Serious Medal Men Could Comment On This I Would Be Greatfull .ta
