                Nice worn smock, did they sew a new sleeve on it. Pockets look if they are made from the same material!

                          Nice 'salty' piece...just the way I like 'em. Age on wing matches the rest - this one looks like a true combat worn article that might have seen post war use on hunting expeditions. I have a similar '42 dated smock that belonged to a GPR man, who wore it sometimes after the war on hunting excursions. Unfortunately the rank pips were removed but he kept the GP wing up and the initial of his last name is inked onto the right breast cargo pocket. Seeing your's reminded me of mine..I like your's alot

                            As the main part of the smock is hand painted and the sleeve isn't, you might be right on that one.
                            Looks like they totally had to path it up again after a few battles.
                            Great smock that has gone trough a lot of wear and tear.
