So I was talking with a retired diplomat and.....

I just got a visit from some friends of the family, a couple in their late 80s (he was a B-24 in WWII and later worked for the State Department in Asia and the Middle East). They purchased this item in India in the late 1950s. There are no markings on this weapon. The handle and sheath are covered in leather that has been expertly stitched together.

Unfortunately, this couple is in desperate need of money, so I've been asked to sell this for them. Any information regarding this item would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to any comments.
