PS. Is the Royal Engineers patch war-time?

as a couple of people have stated the top right one is Northern Command (Queensland.) This particular style of patch was used from 1950-1954.

Sorry I have no period reference for this sign.

As for the the top left patch, personally I should imagine that it is a schools' related item.
