The ASC is WW1. It became the Royal Army Service Corps in Nov 1918.

Both fairly common but the Worcestershire badge is very nice as the lion hasn't been polished smooth as is normally the case with this one.

I doubt it, pretty much everything else Ron has posted appears to be good from memory anyway. The crimp line of the slider of the Worcester's is a good sign too.

Once again I show my total ignorance about British items, but.........what is a soft tang restrike, and what can I do to answer the question? In other words, is there anything I can do to determine if it is a "soft tang". If they came about less than about 25 to 30 years ago, then, it is not one, since I have had these for at least 25 years and maybe even 30 or more years. Beyond that I can't answer the question, since I don't have a clue about this stuff, or a soft tang.

Hi Ron, you have no worries with any of the badges you have posted

"Soft tang" is not an expression I have heard of before, but I suspect it refers to the slider or fixing lug used to secure the badge to the cap. On restrikes/fakes these are often soft and easy to bend.

                Cheers, Ade.
