    My first airborne BD

AS I said in a former thread, I have moved after 15 yearsfrom German militaria to british airborne.
I am totally delightfull learning so much about this new field of collecting.
In a former mail I showed my maroon beret marked Kangool 1945...

Now I show my RASC airborne BD...little by little I will tray to complete a uniform.
It is a BD for a warrant officer.
    I hope you like.

IN adition of the six inverted red chevrons in the sleeve and the glider cloth patch, it has warrant officer insignias.

Hi Victor, nice to see the BD again. Please show the Glider troopers badge.

Jack and I looked at this one at Birmingham Arms Fair earlier this year.

This BD is named. I wonder if the name might be researchable. Please post it up for us.

          Cheers, Ade.

Here is the glider trooper cloth patch and also the six service chevrons...also is visible that the holes for the warrant officer badge have been tailored prepared...

Sory for the very bad photo...the Pegasus patches are placed over a thin machine sewn strip that is possible to se that in a extreme is yellow...I suppose that is the RASC colours yellow and green.
It is very nice to see also that the threads in the Pegasus patch have turned to a maroon colour due to age and the other threads still are in "BD " colour...

Interesting choice of cap badge for the beret, I thought you would have gone for a plastic RASC?

When I examined this BD with Ade I thought all the insignia was all good and original to the blouse but I did have a slight concern that the Glider troops badge may be a modern reproduction. It may have been added to make it more "sexy".

Still a nice RASC Airborne BD...

                        Jack.

                            Thanks for your comments!
Jack,I have been lucky that ADe has found a nice RASC badge for my beret...I put that one as was the only one I have!
I examined again the glider patch and seems totally original to the BD in age and toninig and threads seem very good and do not glow with UV light...but only my opinion...

Luc, thank you very much for the link! I asume that the page is for the men that fought in ARnhem in 250 light composite company only?
Then my warrant officer did not fight at Arnhem if is not at the list or there were more RASC units at Arnhem??
                            Thanks again!
                            Vic

                              Hi Vic,
For now only the names are shown for those who served at Arnhem. Perhaps a future update will give names for different operations?

It is the only RASC Coy that served at Arnhem, the 63rd served at Normandy but I have no further onfo on them.

                              Cheers, Luc
