    My Para Beret and badge.

    Gyday All
I've had this beret and badge for a long while now and always thought it was a 1950's example, but after looking at a number of threads on this forum, I'm thinking it might be ww2. Anyway have a look and let me know what you all think. The badge came seperately from the beret. There are 4 holes where the original badge once was.
    Regards Bruce

I am afraid the badge is a repro.

If you look at the RH wing (left as you look at the front) there is a small blob under the uppermost horozontial the feather next to the curve of the shoulder. This is a flaw in the die and seen on the common copies. The lover feathers are also very angualr where as the originals were more curved. Genuine slider variants do exist but as a rule the badge was most commonly made with lugs. . <O</O

Hi Bruce, Alan is correct about the badge.

The beret I would tend to say is post war.

              Cheers, Ade.
