early tunic

i picked up this tunic yesterday as part of a trade... the buttons are kings crown marked ordnance india... my guess is that it's 1900's officer tunic... i had first thought artillery due to the blue color btu i guess ordnance corps might be close.... how it ended up in western Canada is another mystery... any commets or ideas would be welcomed...

Looks great, what a wonderful find. Looks like Ordinance Corp buttons to me. I would say this could even be ww1 or later dress uniform jacket, but most likely between 1900 and ww1?. Don't know a great deal about this type of uniform.

Bruce I'm pretty much lost on this one also... hope we can find out more from some one in Britain... they'd probably have a better idea when it comes to an item like this.... thanks for the comment... i like it too!
