Beret Regiment de la Chaudiere

Just for info , i am interessted by this beret and how much for khaki beret "Regiment de la Chaudiere" dated 1944 ?

Hi Husky, 60-70 bucks for a beret. I can't be certain the badge has always belonged to the beret. I also wonder if the red background is original as well. War-time photos I've seen do not clearly show the background. The badge is a 40-60.00 badge so the two together without provenance - 100.00 on a good day. On ebay probably more as for some reason all common sense has disappeared from bidders.

A 1944 dated Signal Corps beret recently went for over $100 US on ebay. It's all in the date these days.

Personally I try to stay away from anything that appears to be Canadian issue that does not have the C/|\ Government Acceptance stamp in it. I am seeing These berets being faked more and more now. I guess I am just getting a little paranoid.

As to the value of a Chadiere Cap badge.....IMO 40-60 is about double my estimate but again, I have seen these commanding much higher prices in the last 1 1/2 years.
