this Canadian dog tag is WW1 or WW2 ?

These are WWII tags. If I am reading the number correctly he originated in the #3 MD Depot, Kingston, ON. From his rank it seems very likely that he was tranferred to an armoured unit at some point.

Just a pet peeve of mine these are

"Identity Disks" not "Dog tags"


"Dog tag" only caught on well after the war had started and after the Yanks had entered it.
