    RAF Insignia Question

I picked up several pieces of RAF insignia. Among them were two blue wool ovals. They each had the RAF eagle at the top, above a wreath. Within the wreath of one piece were two stars, and in the other there were three stars.

I am assuming they are rank insignia of some kind. Can anyone shed any light on these pieces?

    Thanks!

    Aircrew Rank badges 1946-1950,
Eagle above a wreath with 0 stars = Aircrew cadet
    " 1 star = Aircrew 4
    " 2 stars = Aircrew 3
    " 3 stars = Aircrew 2
Crown above the Eagle above the wreath with 3 stars = Aircrew 1
Royal Arms above the eagle in wreath = Master Aircrew, this is the only one still in use.
