      Not sure about the blue background, these late war patches are normally black ?

        Bad, bad, and bad!!

        I've come across these fakes before. Red ink used for printing is very thick and raised, it should be "in" the badge almost like it's part of it and not stamped on top. Cloth was a much darker blue/black. Also I'm not happy with the design of the dagger and there should be no solid line border - if anything at all there should only be dashes or dots for cutting.

            That's yet another badge in Peter Taylor's book that is not ok then.

              I hope you're not too surprised Luc!

              No book is or will ever be perfect, however, some are better than others. I like Peter Taylor's book because it is the first book of it's type that covers a variety of Special Forces units including regular Commando and Airborne units (unlike "Some Talk of Private Armies") and displays insignia along the information. But unfortunately it was a textbook for the makers of fake badges! In some cases they were probably faking fakes!
