WW1 Brodie?

Gents, usually on the German Helmet side of the hill, and I don't know much about these. From searching the forum, I believe it to be a WW1 Brodie,with a late WW liner. Can anyone interpret the stampings, and any idea of where (or not) it may be dated? Approximate value? It came thrown in with some gear from a WW2 5th Army US vet.

That is a GORGEOUS example of a World War I U.S. made helmet.

I presume the serial is the tip off? It does seem to be in very good condition.

hi paul i think this is a british ww1 brodie.if you turn the liner out there should be a red coloured war department stamp on the underside.
out of interest is the rubber doughnut still in the crown.
the only part missing is the netting

It's definitely American, and a very nice, complete example. There might be a manufacturer's stamp inside the liner, and it may include a date.
