Peter, sorry both of these are no good. To cut a long story short, post-war berets with fake markings.

I have attached a couple of shots of what original 1944 Kangol made berets look like, unused.

I agree with Jack 100%, but at 15 Euros, obviously they seller was not trying to pass them off as original. I suppose they are a good filler piece or if you do reenacting...

Thanks for the info! These two came with a packet of four regiment berets. Two where obvious post war( still Kangol and original dated 1964) and these two. Still it is indeed a nice gabfiller next to mine 100% original para helmet 3rd model BMB and my US 551th airborne helmet with decal

Trust me Des, you wouldn't like it! It comes with some junky medals, insignia, and paperwork which is all Parachute Regiment related!

Mind you I could always bin all that stuff and just send you the beret with a fake SAS cap badge sewn on

Someone has made a significant efford to alter berets and they don't even come close to original WW2 berets. I wonder why...
