    No 74 ST Grenade

I would like an opinion regarding the current value of this No 74 ST Grenade. It is dated 1943 and in fair condition, though the "sticky" finish has been removed from the glass. Many thanks, Clive.

Looks like one minus all the guts as well.

Here is a schematic http://www.home-guard.org.uk/hg/pics/74stgrenlge.jpg from the home guard page.

There was also a CS grenade made after the war that was very similar but I do not think it is one of these.

the handle was Bakelite so you can do the old rub and sniff it test on it.

A friendly email from a well-known eBay seller advises a value of approximately £250 for this Grenade without the covers. I am not sure though that with the finish being removed from the glass this makes any further difference in value. These Grenades are not too common and will become harder to find in any condition as years pass by. Clive.
