    Hi folks,
    Another odity if you want to call it that is the holster for this rig, it appears to be a standard 37 pattern holster but the fillet at the base for the muzzle of the pistol is not a fabric disc but a curcular wooden plug held in by three rivets
    and drilled in the center for drainage. Ive only seen this particular type in the RAF blue /grey colour.
    Lots of tiny wriggles on the weg gear, OT but i thought i had found a nice minty set of RN web gear from the 20,s showed it to a guy and he confirmed it was a rareity by virtue of the mods it has for a special canadian contract.
    Always pays to rummage thro those boxes !

      Tho' the link identifies this as RCAF equipment when I joined the RAF in Jan 1943 alot of erks still had this type of webbing.John
