    Brit Para Helmet liner question

Folks, I am trying to pick up an original British Para helmet eventually and I would like to know something about the sweat band on an original. I has seen the BMB marked liner bands (sweat bands) that are date and size marked. Does anyone know if a BS marked with a size stamp only, no date, is original to WW2 or post war? Sorry I have no pictures. So far I have only managed to pick up a Belgian post war para due to my ignorance...I'm getting better and studying my books. Regards, Chris

    Hi Chris,

    BMB
    GS
Made British ww2 issue helmets & should be marked with the date, Size, & Maker on the liner.

Please Note CCL - Marked ones are Post War, be careful !

      Bmb

      Chris,
As stated, stick to the BMB mark (as shown in Scott's reply), and you won't go too far wrong ..

Thanks everybody......I'm working on getting a nice set of original British WW2 helmets to go with my Canadian Tommy helmet I picked up in Victoria B.C. back in 1988. I've been buying the German stuff too long and I need to catch up my Allied collection...! Regards, Chris
