Jungle Green jacket with evidence of Para wings.

Hi Guys, I thought I would share this one with you. A couple of days ago I was inspecting some of my uniforms which are stored with my parents. (Our house is just not big enough for all mine and Lez's collections.) I had not looked closely at this jacket for years. I was really pleasantly surprised to see that this jacket once had Parachute wings to the breast fastened with press studs. I had never noticed this before! I am really pleased about this as you can guess.

There are no makers marks or labels to the jacket. The buttons appear to be horn. Most likely Indian made.

    Cheers, Ade.

Hard to get a good pic of this, but you can just make out the shape of where the wings once were and the three press studs used to fasten them in place. Press studs were used in order to save the insignia wearing out due to the frequent washing of this type of uniform. This jacket has only really seen light use with one button being replaced on one cuff.

    Cheers, Ade.
