    searching for info about R.E.M.E

    Hi,
I've just found a R.E.M.E grouping (BD and pants) but I don't know at all which division it could be?
As well the BD has no tag in it, just a few stamps.
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi Fred,

The formation sign is that of the 44th [Home Counties] Division. It is the 3rd pattern.

    Regards
    Arthur

Hi Fred, the BD is the 1949 pattern. You can tell this from the open neck, exposed buttons on the pleated pockets, etc.

Greetings from a misty and foggy England!

                Cheers, Ade.

Hi Fred, I am sitting next to a nice open coal fire

1949 pattern blouses complete with original insignia are now starting to be appreciated by collectors. For many years no one was ever interested in them. (I must admit I was one of them.) I predict the value of these will increase greatly in years to come.

                      Cheers, Ade.

Well by day it's quite worm here but I must admit that some evenings I enjoy my chimney...

I've never collected british/allied WW2 stuff but It's a feeling I have: untouched uniforms are getting hard to find and with the increase of german stuff some collectors turn their way.

What would be an honest value for this BD and pants (perfectly matching)?
I won't keep it home and speculate on it, If I can make someone happy somewhere I'll be happy as well, that' collecting for me, as for most of us I believe.

                          Hi Fred,

                          Re: Post 4. 3rd pattern?

The 1st pattern was a red oval. The 2nd pattern was a red oval with a yellow border in the centre was a shield depicting Dover Castle in black, white cliffs, green grass and a blue sea.

                          Regards
                          Arthur

                              Cheers, Ade.
