Ebay WW1 or WW2 Lancer uniform?

I was thinking about buying this uniform but I am not sure if it is WW1 or WW2? What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/GREAT-LOOKING-OR...QQcmdZViewItem

Hi there , i would think this tunic is at least post w.w.2 the buttons look modern and the collar badges have the queens crown 1952 onwards , the tunic may be older ie a re issue but for a great war period i would expect the label to be a paper one rather than cloth , also i dont like the way the date is faded but the other details on the label are quite clear , hope this helps ,Michael.

I agree with Michael they look like staybrite badges so its relatively modern ,and not of much interest unless you like mess dress uniforms .Rob

Thank you. It did help. I was being the fooled by the shoulderboards because I was told that chainmail shoulderboards were only did in WW1.

Michael and Rob are giving very good advice. There is little interest in post WW2 uniforms. Interesting looking and colorful display piece if you can get it for $25-$35 but not worth much more.

            Lancer uniform

The 9th Lancers and the 12th Lancers were amalgamated in 1959 forming the 9/12 Lancers. This is the Dress Blues of a Trooper. To my knowledge they are still worn today exactly as you see there.
