Question: anybody know what unit this might be?

Does anybody know what unit this flash might belong to? It is on an early 20C slouch cap, green in colour.

I thought that too...the only thing, however, is that this flag (if it's a flag) is an upside down Dutch flag. Does that make any sense?

something that may add credence to that flag being Dutch is its length: I think the style of the Dutch flag is actually longer and flatter (as here) than the average flag.

Don`t think its the Dutch flag, this lookes like blue(Ithink its green), white, orange.
The Dutch flag is beside that, if it was a Dutch one upside down.
It has to be then red, white, blue.
Lookes to me like green white, orange. Pakistany?
Or am i talking doubledutch????

Yeah, that's what is crazy -- it's upside down if it's Dutch -- maybe it's Yugoslavian?

The hat is definitely early 20th Century -- the buttons, fittings, etc are all from that era. Also, the fittings and material is all British or Dominion issue as far as I can tell, but there is no date or broad arrow stamp or anything obvious. The felt colour is a weird bright green (most slouch caps of the era are khaki sometimes with a greenish or bluish hue). But I don't think the green felt is too far from what might be worn by units at that time. The guy I got it from thought it was a Boer or Orange Free State issue, but I think that may be wishful thinking.

I don't know, the whole thing has me befuddled. I think it might be some sort of regimental flash, but, again, I really don't know.
