it looks fine Dennis. The DFC ribbon looks like a good rayon but without having it in hand I can't say for sure but in the pics the ribbon looks good.

If the ribbon is rayon, does that place it in any time period? I have the impression that the WWII era ribbons were silk.

I don't know beans about fabrics. What would distinguish rayon from silk?

Hi Dennis,

Rayon is an artificial silk. That would place it up to the 1960's when I think they finally ran out of old stock and went to nylon. They did use real silk as well but as the war went on silk became difficult to obtain.
