More Mystery British Patches - Any Ideas?

Hi all, I picked these up over the week - no idea what they are. British? Any idea as to age? The Crossed rifles look to me to be a marksmanship badge, the others maybe sniper and the other - no idea.

For a start they are Royal Navy - and the fish heads have loads of these silly trade badges that mean absolutely nothing to anyone else in the armed forces apart from them. Crossed rifles 'might' be marksman - but I'm using logic there, and that's dangerous.

These things - in fact RN trades in total - are an exact science. They might even be RCN, RAN, RNZN - who use the British pattern but have totally unique ratings - and appropriate badges. LC 'might' be Landing Craft Cox'n, but that's pure guesswork.

They are Gold (wire) Green as worn by members of the Royal Marines on their Lovat Green Uniform. I have a chart some place will let you know when I find it. These are all being replaced with a cheap and nasty looking synthetic material.

            Badges

Hello Greg,as Marc has stated these badges are Royal Marines specialist qualification badges worn on the lower left sleeve of the lovat jacket (no2 dress). The crossed rifles is for a marksman, the LC is for landing craftsman 1st or 2nd class (I can never remember what the stars signify) and the crossed rifles I believe are Platoon weapons instructor 1st or 2nd class. The snipers badge is a small 's' sitting above crossed rifles at a steeper angle then the marksman badge. The sniper rates as a PW3.Cheers,

            Paul

Oh, I can see the green felt now. Gold thread is also worn by the RN on their dress rig isn't it - albeit on a blue field?
