    http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayIS...MEBI%3AIT&rd=1

I'm curious what your thoughts are on this airborne leg bag currently running on ebay , item number 6635083732 , I know there have been some excellant repros and the originals are rare as hens teeth and would like to know if anyone here is familiar with this pattern or maker.

    Hello Bob,
i was thinking the same as you are on the leg bag shown on ebay!
It looks oke to me from the pictures but i can not be 100 procent sure as i have never holded one in my hands, only seen one op close in Hartenstein for dosens of times!
I have a repro on my British parachutist untill i find an original, but if this is the one i don't know yet.
I have also posted a question on this item on a dutch Tommy site!
Hope some others may have some more info for us!

    Cheers,
    Cain

Hi Bob, the colour is a bit odd...
Quite unlike the one at the Hartenstein airborne museum or the replicas from Pegasus Militaria.

It reminds me of an Australian leg bag (1945, made by MH&Co) sold by Westland a couple of years back, but that one clearly had a DD stamp.

But someone out there seems to think it is valuable!

      Cheers, Luc

        Leg Bag

Well at a final price of $3328.38, someone suely thought highly of this piece - anyone have any info or thoughts on this piece? Is it known if the Brits produced these in green?

                        Leg Bag

Sorry the link didn't work - my fault, and for some reason I can't resize the one pic of the entire bag but the detail pics are there. I'm really looking for any info on these - they're so few and far between.

£1800? You've got to be sh**ing me? That's got to be a record for ancillary equipment surely?
