    Silver officers table settings

    Hello Gentlemen,

I'm looking at shifting these. They're solid sterling silver table settings for an officer in the 3RD Carabiniers. This regiment was formed in 1936 I believe and with the inscription in the box being George V I would take a favourable judgment in saying that these were issued on the Regiments formation as some sort of gift.

Could someone tell me the approximate value of these for sale?

    Cheers guys.

Tom, I haven't a clue. They are superb, if they were mine I'd be tempted to put these up for auction with one of the big ones like Bosleys or W&W.

You could of course put them up for auction with Ebay, with a reserve that you feel fair.

Very specialist stuff, but very desirable to the right person.

I don't think that I'd part with something like that for under £200, you also need to find the date of the hallmark, reckon it could have an impact on price.

      Hi Jim.

Thanks mate. I thought these would be worth around about £100. I'll take them somewhere to get them valued etc. You're a star!
