    Sykes Daggers, NEED HELP FAST...

I posted this originally in the daggers section but I'm posting here as well, here is the link I placed earlier today with the photos and the description. Apparently they are stamped on the handle with the number 3. Do these pieces look legit or not. She says her grandfather got them while serving in the Navy in WWII. He passed in 2001.

    Thanks everyone!

    Alex

I never heard back from anyone, and purchased the items anyway. The price seemed right ( I think???) So hopefully I didn't get screwed. I'd still like to hear from a collector of these if these look right.

            Thanks!

              Ok - 3rd Pattern

              I would say it's OK .... 3rd Pattern WW2.

              Regards

                Thanks,

Just curious, what do these typically sell for?

Are the upper blades marked with either a mfg.i.d.,or "broad arrow"?
I know the handles of earlier ones are brass-looking metal(that will tend to wear thin on the ridges)

I don't have these in my possession yet, but I was told both are marked with a tiny number 3 on the handles. That is all I know at this point. Besides the "story" that they were inherited from her grandpa who served in WWII in the NAVY.

                      Price

                      Alex,
For a good 3rd pattern, I would expect a price around £70 GBP. (approx $125 USD).

                      Regards

                      Gary J.
