British/Commonwealth airplane part?

This is one of the few items found at a suppose to be crash site. Does someone recognise this?

It looks like a small generator driver - the think that the drive belt turns. For what? Gawd knows: radio, radar?

It could be a guide wheel for the cable that is attached to the Horsa steering wheel? Where the steering column meets the horizontal bar such wheels are fitted to make the cable go horizontal. I only have a drawing from one side, but it sure looks like it!

We just received info that the crashsite is most likely from a Hawker Typhoon. Can this be of that plane?
