Nice gongs...however, I do find it somewhat odd that he would have mounted his WWII awards on a separate bar from his WWI pair and LSGC... The ISM is more understandable since it was the last issued.

Any chance the WWII medals are actually to a relative?

I guess the only way we would know is if the service record of this chap could be researched.

They all came as a package. Hard saying what the history is ...

A very rare British Medal Group spanning 2 World Wars, consisting of silver British War Medal named to F.43520 R. J. P. Jory. Boy Mech. R.N.A.S., General Service Medal bar Kurdistan named to 243520 A.C. 2 R. J. P. Jory. R.A.F., George V Royal Air Force Long Service Good Conduct Medal named to 243520 Cpl. (A. Sgt.) R. J. P. Jory R.A.F, 1939-45 Star, Defence Medal and 1939-45 War Medal, and Dunkerque Medal. A RARE British Medal group, the rank on the British War Medal is seldom seen, the Kurdistan Bar is RARE to Royal Air Force, and the Long Service is Scarce. The first 3 are mounted as worn, an excellent research project. See pictures. The medals are in very fine condition, properly named (the WW2 medals are unnamed as issued).
