    Another Canadian

    I picked this up off of evilbay a couple of years ago and did a little research to round it out. His name was James R.F. Johnson and the tunic was made during the war then modified in 1953 with the coronation of Elizabeth. His citations are below.

    Joint Citation with FO N.J. Gibbons. Awarded the DFC.
    As pilot(Johnson) and observer (Gibbons) respectively these officers have completed a large number of sorties. They have displayed great skill and determination throughout and their example of keenness and devotion to duty has been most commendable. They have destroyed at least 4 enemy aircraft.

    They flew with 418(RCAF) Sqn and were equipped with Mosquitos.

    His AFC was for 8 months worth of training at an OTU, at the time of recommendation he had 1109 hours of flying under his belt!
