British Helmet I Think?

Hi guys, I picked this up very inexpensively. I know nothing about British items. It has stamped into the inner lip. C.L.C./O 1942 under that a 69 with a large six. and a small nine. On the liner it is stamped 6 3/4 under that V M C under that roman numeral II under that 1942. Here are 2 cpictures, The outside is very dark green inside a few shades lighter. Please Gents What exactly do I have?

You have a Canadian MKII Helmet. Not scarce but nice all the same.

VMC means "Viceroy Manufacturing" It's a Canadian maker of helmet liners.
