British para cap badge

Is this a restrike or the real deal? I have owned it for about 18 years if that makes any difference... I know they have been making restrikes for a long time.

Thanks, but I've already seen that thread and it has left me undecided about my badge. My badge has some features of both the genuine and fake badges presented in the first part of that thread. For example: 1) no die flaws on the wing (blobs), 2) detail on reverse is better than that of the fake shown but not as nice as the genuine, 3) small feathers on wings are not perfectly flat, but the raised edges are not as pronounced as on the genuine shown, 4) lion seems to display the characteristics of the fake with the ribs being very obvious, 5) shroud lines meet in the middle, 6) badge is made of silver washed brass....
So, I was hoping to get some opinions from someone else who might have more experience with these than I do because right now I am not sure either way.

In my opinion it is not a restrike, but a reproduction as it is different from an original badge.
It's the small feathers next to the parachute: they are straight at the bottom, not rounded. Also I find the space between the lugs rather large.
Nickeled brass is a normal production method for a genuine badge, doesn't mean anything. Shroud lines meeting in the middle can be ok but only on the ones with a voided crown.

Hi Steve, I looked at your badge earlier today and I must admit that I don't feel comfy with it for all the reasons Luc has mentioned.

I can add that if you look at collar badges (wm, bronze or silver), sweetheart badge or the Old Comrades Association badge or even a QC badge the small feathers will be rounded.
The handful of dug up badges I have seen sofar never had straight feathers either.
