My dear Ma has had this item hidden away for many years and i was wondrering if somebody could identify it for me.
What era is it? How much is it worth?

It is a rank crown. Worn on epaulettes. For example, one of these worn on each epaulette indicates the rank of Major.

Not worth much in all honesty. You can have these at some fairs for as little as 50p.

It is pre-1953 too.
