UK Vet Question

Hope this thread is ok - figured the UK collectors might be able to help me out on this one.

I am working on a book with a U-Boat vet and survivor. Two UK vessels sunk his boat, but 19 men got off and were rescued by the UK vessels. We want to see if we can find any survivors of the UK vesselsto add to the book. Any idea if there are any vet associations or otherway to get such info?

The two were: HMS Imperialist and HMS Douglas

Hi Marc, I am ashamed to say it, but sadly I know very little about anything Royal Navy.

The biggest Veteran's association is the Royal British Legion, which encompasses all branches of service. I think I would start your search with them?

I take it you have searched for the two ships mentioned? I know some have had their own associations in the past. The big problem is now time is catching up on all these Vets and many groups have disbanded in the past few years.
